Leftovers

"The skinny blonde came over to the window and opened it wide enough to introduce herself and her roommate. The blonde was Ann and the other girl standing in the rear of the room was Ruth. They had just finished eating dinner. Ann asked me if I would like to come in and have some leftovers. Naturally, I said "No." Naturally, she asked again. Naturally, I said "Yes, I'd hate to see the food go to waste." (p.3)
